I don't know about u.. but this year taught me more than anything.. Yes, at the age of 31, I've learnt no matter how hard you try.. if its meant to be, it will meant to be. Life's definitely full of ride. Up, down, left right.. but no matter what happened, never curse other human or questioning about their karma cause we are only HUMAN. Me make mistakes too. It's totally beyond our right. What can I say, our whole life is stretching ahead of us. So live through your passion. Cherish your friends, family and your love one. Stay true to your principles, live passionately and full & well. Experience new things. Love and be loved if at all possible. Most importantly, don't forget to eat sensibly. Stuff like that..

Anyway.. before I say adieu to 2011, here are the highlights of my life this year..

I started this year by visited the 'gooday mate' land. I had so much fun with Lana, Ariff and baby Kasheif

What more interesting than being in the Stadium where one of my favorite band playing!

Adopting the most cutest+smartest rabbit on earth.. Taku The Rabbit rock our home yo!

Got a chance to catch Islamic Fashion Week at Singapore. Great event I must say..

Yes, another GLAM's family got hitch this year.. Me and Izrin during Jaja A wedding..

Enjoying my sun, sea and sand holiday with my most favorite girlfriends... Nat & Mimi, let's do it again!!

Back to Bangkok for our company trip.. Ironically, it was a week before Bangkok were slanting with huge flood

Stepping my foot for the first time in Hong Kong..and 2nd time to Loewe, Spring/Summer 2012 trunk show.. What can I say, I love Hong Kong so much.. wish I can go back there someday..

Yes, u see right.. It's Miss Fabolousity, Kimora Lee Simmon.. Managed to attend press conference with other media at Ritz Clarton KL... She's so REAL. Funny+smart and you can tell she's really happy being in Malaysia.. Hopefully we can work together soon Miss Kimora!

Still can't believe that I actually saw Taj Mahal in front of my eyes.. touch and walking through the cool marble.. the architecture is so finest until u forget, that u're actually in India.. And the best part is, we stayed at the coolest hotel in New Delhi.. yup, its The Oberoi.. magnefique!

Last but not least, of course celebrating Chiwonkey birthday with candle light dinner home style. It's a suprise dinner and he is so happy when I cooked my own marinate meat (Hussein's secret recipe), corn, carrot and saute mushroom with potato.. There's nothing can make me happy when I see him smile widely ;)

Yes, the best thing in life is finding someone who knows all your flaws, mistakes and weaknesses. Yet still thinks you're completely amazing.. And that what you are meant to me.. To my dear husband, thank you for all your kindness, you never bored ears who always listening to my unfinished crap~drama~work~life, for always believe that everything its gonna be okay. Beside hubby and our families, I'd always love my girls.. That's why, no matter how busy I'm, I'll find some times to grab a lunch or Sunday breakie with them. And yeah sometimes, we went to a short getaway. As an island huge lover, I definitely wont say say 'no' when Nat and Mimi texting me and make proposal to go to one of my favorite island. Yup, this is my second time to Redang Island and to be honest, I really need a beach holiday since my last visit to Perhentian. That was 2 years back. So, we packed our bag, booked the tic and wallah.. here we are. Enjoying the smell of the sea, white sandy and the breezy tranquilly ..

When I first saw this DVD, my heart pondering.."This might be good".. Show to hubby and he said, yeah we should watch it. And my guts was right. This 99 minute documentaries was truly inspiring and deeply moving crowd pleaser. Set at Jardim Gramacho, the world's largest landfill on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, Vik Muniz who has known as top-selling contemporary artist takes us on an emotional journey. Who knew in this really modern world, some country still under poverty and do not have so much choices in term of choosing education or profession. But for them, being a recycle material collector is not dirty. They are so proud with their work and take pride when people underestimate or not believe in them. I wont spill any beans here but you have to watch this and its gonna change your mind about life etc, trust me. And to Vik, you're the most noble person I've ever known. Trust, you have set place at heaven already :)

I'm kinda diggin an old picture lately.. And I found an old picture of my late grandfather (my mom side). His name is Wan Ismail. I never met him in my entire life. He passed away even before I was born. The only thing I knew about him is he's kinda good looking and has become some kind of 'heartthrob' among the girls.. heh..

and this is my dad.. I've been carrying his picture in my purse for quite a years.. Aren't both of them look very masculine and smart in their passport picture? Tie and white shirt are two essential items back in 60s or 70s eh.

me at Mount Kinabalu.. treasure the nature of freshness

When I was a kid, I love outdoor more than cadbury chocolate! just grant with my parents permission, I can turn your world upside-down 24/7.. lol.. I love rolling at the grass.. smelling the fresh cut grass make me hyper! But that was 25 yrs back.. Kids now days opt to stay at home more than spend their time outside.. And yes, they were not to blame.. The world is getting old and today we facing the most serious problem like global warming.. shame on us! God lent this beautiful land to us and what we give in return? POLLUTION! Last week when my girlfriends and I having our ritual monthly lunch, none of us opt for outdoor restaurant. Yup, I even parked my car inside the building that required none outside walk. And why is that? none of us can take the hottest and humid weather! It's beyond normal and twitter/fb was flooded with people complaining about heat. Nowadays, air condition is our best friend. Sad but true..

best dress nominees: Met Gala 2011

So for those who not sure about Met Gala (The Met Costume Gala), it is one the most highly anticipated fashion events of the year. The event is held in New York each year, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. And this year, the Gala pay tribute to the talented British designer, the late Alexander McQueen. Met Gala 2011 held last Monday and as usual, here are my nominees for best dress:

Christina Ricci look stunning in Zac Posen. Only in MET Gala you can dress like a piece of art! I love it. Unlike Beyonce, this dress look wearable and magnifique!

Florence Welch arrived wearing YSL Fall 2011 dress. Her long draped white dress with sheer sleeves was paired with a feathered coat from the same collection. I love contrast of all white against her red wavy hair. Minimal makeup with a pale pink lip shade completed her look.

Liv Tyler diverged from Stella McCartney to wear Givenchy Couture this year. On a glance, she look exactly like her character as Erwin (LOTR), minus the ear and loose hair.. hehe. The white and yellow ombre tulle gown has quilted and appliquéd motifs and ostrich feathers at the hem. This look is perfect for this event!

Leelee Sobieski wore a custom-made Vionnet ivory silk crepe de chine dress with a gold leather laser cut leaf belt. She look so sleek with this look and I don't mind wearing this dress tho. Minimalist is the word!

Who can wears something dramatic and eye-catching and the same time outdo the other models? Yup, Gisele Bundchen looked sensational in Alexander McQueen Fall 2005 red fish-tail gown. Only a supermodel can walk tall in such an exquisite gown.

She was the 1st best dress I spotted on Met Gala. Diane Kruger looked stunning wearing a dress from her favorite designer, Jason Wu. Sleek waves, red lips, a Jimmy Choo ‘Lina’ clutch and black peep-toes completed her look.

I still amazed over green! And the best thing is Ginnifer Goodwin was one of the best dressed of the night wearing a custom Topshop Unique green silk twist front gown. Yeah baby, u heard me clearly. Its TOPSHOP! And I love her eye make-up. It’s very complement to her look without being too overbearing

As never a fan of Dior, this dress truly exceptional. The sensational twin, Ashley Olsen wore a vintage Christian Dior Haute Couture gown and paired it with Christian Louboutin shoes, a Judith Leiber bag, and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry. She look amazing and very healthy ;)

Same like Ashley, Mary-Kate Olsen also chose vintage dress. Its Givenchy Haute Couture vintage gown and she paired it with Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, a Judith Leiber bag, and Van Cleef & Arpels and David Webb jewelry. Love the green neckline!

I loved everything about Shalom Harlow’s look. She looked like a majestic beauty in a nude and black gown by Marchesa. Its breath-taking!. The semi sheer textile emotes a sexy, not scanty vibe, and the black embroidery injects a cool modern touch to the overall throwback look..

In a blink of eyes, who knew GLAM reached its 7th Anniversary this month. And in conjunction of this anniversary, GLAM's launched the “GLAM GREAT ESCAPE” exhibition which includes fashion spread taken over 7 years and will be displayed at the Gardens Mall, Mid Valley City from 19 April 2011 to 8 May 2011. The selected fashion spread include some of the most beautiful and memorable photo shoot shot around the globe.

Gday Mate! Hello Perth (part 3)

.... I was more than happy when knowing one of favorite band touring Asia & Australia last month.. yup, I'm talking about Stone Temple Pilots babeh. Initially I was thinking to go Singapore for their concert but since hubby wasn't around, i'm kinda lost the zest :P and wasn't planning to go at any other venues either (u know, when u going to concert, is best to go with someone who really know the band+music, if not..u kinda lost the track!) . Coincidentally, the date STP having their tour at Challenge Stadium, Perth Australia was the same week as we're there.. hehe.. after hang around at King's Park, we shoot straight to the stadium.. The most unforgettable thing happened when a bunch of group in next car, asking our taxi driver a way to the stadium.. N quickly, we're asking, "Are you going to STP too?" and one of the guy replied "Yeah.. , I think this is sign from a God".. LoL.. Standing in a bunch of cool people that day, definitely one of the ultimate experience I would never forget!

My camera batt dead on me that night..so no more pic for the concert :P.. next morning, we woke up fresh and had breakfast at one of the restaurant along Adelaide Terrace. I'm having lasagna and the most delicious hot chocolate.. yummeh! The cost for breakie is about AUD10

So our next destination was Perth Zoo. We took the same cruise like Fremantle's since it is under one package..

We're bit frustrated with the Zoo because of most of the animals were inactive during daylight and looked so lazy :P I was dreaming to hold a Koala Bear or playing with kangaroo but at the end, it just became a dream :P

So we off from the Zoo quite early coz nothing much to venture and we all very hungry and thirsty... (to be continue)

Gday Mate! Hello Perth (part 2)

We woke up quite early on next morning.. Yup, we are very eager to explore the city and before that, we fuel up our energy by having breakfast at the hotel (since the buffet is 'halal').. The foods are quite satisfying and I love their mushroom :P . I can just eat and eat non-stop.. lol. Oh since our room price doesn't include the breakfast, we paid AUD12 (if i'm not mistaken) for the breakie.

After pulling all energy, we started walking to Bell's Tower which located on Riverside Drive. It's only took us about 15 minute walk. We planned to take a cruise to Fremantle and check out the scene.. Here,few shots taken on our way to the tower.. Oh before that, my lens got very dirty and I only realized it after few hours shooting. So you will spotted some blurry~glowy dot at the bottom of the photo :P

So according to the ticket seller, we can buy package trip which included Fremantle's and Perth Zoo Tour. Since we can do Zoo on the day after, we decided to explore the magnificent history and culture of Fremantle's before transfers back to the city.. Beside cruise, you can drive or take train or cab to go there

We departing around 9.45am from Perth city and arriving around 11am. Because of the super duper bloody hot whether, we were tend to exhausted easily. And it took up about 1/2 hour to walk from the jetty to Fremantle's city. It's a bit challenging since Kasheif still a baby and Lana's is preggy. But we managed to conquered the challenge! yeay to that.. hehehe

Fremantle is the port city of Perth and unlike many Australian cities, Fremantle preserved its heritage buildings. It is a popular place for tourists to fine restaurants, markets, art galleries, museums, conferences and a range of hotel accommodation. Most importantly, the food! yeah babeh.. We had the yummers fish and chip and gelato to satisfied our taste bud.. hehe

So we spend half of the day, walking and buying souvenirs here.

After walking and walking .. we didn't realized time was running out for us to get back to the jetty and catch the cruise on 3.45pm.. Act, I did realized when the clock ticking to 3pm and suggested we catch the bus back to the port. But it took longer than we thought. After waiting for 15mins, Arif's suggested to walk and took different route this time. Unfortunately, the route that we used, heading us to close road :P.. in the end, we surrendered and took cab back to the city. It took us around AUD45!! *fainted*

After Fremantle incident, we trying to chill a bit at Kings Park. According to the cab driver, you can catch the nicest sunset over here. I love this park.. I just laying around while listening to Rachel Yamagata, Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, Rosie Thomas and the list go on and on.. I feel so ease until Lana and Ariff called me up for a tea..

.. and I didn't manage to capture the sunset :P.. because is quiet far to walk to the other side.. this the only shoot in time ;)

our journey doesn't stop here, next post.. Stone Temple Pilot at Challenge Stadium.. stay tune ;)

I was seriously in need of vacation after facing an unstoppably working tasks like heavy rain in a row of months... plus, major problem with my car (major headache!) So one of my girlfriend, Lana and his hubby said, "Let's put all your blackened aside and join us".. since hubby was in Cyprus Island and I was alone for a month, I replied, 'why not'.. So I pack my luggage+camera and set to the airport..

Chilly sunny welcoming us at Perth Airport after 7 hours journey.. Since it was a very last minute trip, we kinda said, "Let's go with the flow".. So once arrived we grab the pocket map and booked the bus to Good Earth Hotel at Adelaide Terrace.. It cost us about AUD13 per person. Perth traffic was so fine.. and I was wondering, where are all peoples? :P

Since we arrived earlier than check-in time, we decided to walk and feed ourselves with good breakfast. Err, it wasn't really good actually hahaha.. but I had the best mocha milkshake ever!..

(excuse for my face.. i still in sleepy mode :p )

And here are few shots taken from our first day before heading to Harbor Town and check out the shopping scene.. Manage to grab a pair of shoes and nice accessories.. will blog about it next time ;)

In view of the fact that Perth still in summer, the weather is bloody hot and we decided to go back to the hotel, check-in and freshen up. Unfortunately, we all under the influences of tiredness, thus we slept till night.. hahaha.. Once woke up, we saunter through the Murray Street to find dinner. And managed to get the awesome pizza!

So, we called the night quiet early for the reason most of the shops close at 5pm and nothing much to venture.. Thus, I just hang around my room while watching 'The Kite Runner'..

1) Celine

Who can deny Celine's greatest clean line and sharp trim. And I still can't get over long coat ;)

2) Chloe

The way the dress draping all over body, is magnefique! Clean, sharp.. what else we could ask?

3) Yves Saint Laurent

I'm so into YSL lately. I've been digging for their creation since last year, when I was busy doing a booklet for Ulysee Nardin. There's something special about black & white, where no one can deny it..

4) Valentino

Stunning!!!!! Valentino speak me, I speak Valentino.. hahaha.. I had so much joy watching the live streaming video.. I just love it! Nuff said..

1) Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Couture

Who can deny the beauty of this talented actress. With minimal make-up and edgy short hair, Blanchett definitely own the night with her exquisite lavender gown by Givenchy. Even though she's not being nominated, who cares?

2) Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Couture

This lady gonna be the new fashionista on red carpet. She never fail to nail it, for every sequentially series of major awards! Kudos girl.. Lavender speak fashion!

3) Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa

She wow me with Prada's on Screen Actors Guild Award last January and she did it again with Marchesa's. All Hollywood teenager actors should take her as a note how to dress in red carpet when you're 14. Sweet and make you look young!

4) Celine Dion in Giorgio Armani Privé

Celine Dion looked stunning wearing a Giorgio Armani Privé evening gown with a plunging neckline and bold shoulders. I love the silhouette.

5) Florence Welch in Valentino Couture

I’m glad she stayed true to her style by wearing this yellow long sleeve dress with pleated organza and Chantilly lace. I love the romantic nature of this look and the flowing tiered skirt. This dress is exactly I had in mine during my preparation for wedding :P.. Unfortunately, I go for something simple.. :P

6) Mandy Moore in Monique Lhuillier

Some might said, she look boring with this dress. But I cant help it but said, she's look so lively. Its glow her complexion and the red lips is so right move for this kind of dress. She look like a princess!

Colors, prints, trim, clean cut..I just go crazy when watching Jonathan Sauders Fall 2011 collection.. The best from LFW 2011!

They played 'Vouge' by Madonna during opening. This hip & fun collection was more interesting with stage full of alphabet designs. Tailored coat capturing so much of intention from me this year :)

Who's your favorite and who's not on New York Fashion Week (Fall 2011)? Here's mine:

1)Zero + Maria Cornejo

She's constantly great! Silk and sculpture makes a great combination..

2) Victoria Beckham

I'd be lying if I said, I don't have doubt with Mrs.Beckam capabilities as a designer. And yes, I'm wrong and it's proven, she belongs to that stage!

3) United Bamboo

A wearable, succinct collection with fantastic shoes, too. Plaid, gray, androgyny.. what else cud I wish for?

4) Michael Kors

Love, love, love, love, love, love uuuuuuuuuuu Michael Kors! I love everything about these collection. Clean cut, nude color, basic color.. what else?

5) Marc Jacob

Polka dots over polka dots.. Very dramatic yet brilliant!

6) Proenza Schouler

Tribal print make a huge entries last year and the style gonna stay for a couple of year, I presume. You know how I love pre-fall collection by PS and I'm more satisfied with Fall 2011 runaways. Thumbs up!

If Kurt Cobain still alive, today will mark his 44 years old. We always wondered how Cobain gonna look like or how's his music direction gonna lead too if he still breathing in this world.. I 1st listening to Nirvana when I was in standard 5 (11 years old). Having a big brother in your childhood make u act or behave exactly like what they does. Same goes with me. My biggest influence of music came mostly from my father, brother and sister. As the youngest in the family, it's easy for me to get carried away with them. :P.. Speaking about Cobain and Nirvana, the first album I listened too was of course the famous and over-rated Nevermind.. haha..

Most of the radio station keep playing Smell Like Teen Sprit over and over again until you wanna puke! hehe.. But then again, that album set the benchmark for Nirvana as the most successful grunge band from Seattle (before Alice In Chain, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilot, Pearl Jam kick everyone ass!) 12 tracks in the album leave a soft spot to the fans. We can actually sing a long with all songs and knew the lyric well. Who can deny this album were one of the best album in a decade!

After 'Nevermind', my attention goes back to the first album Bleach.. Where the music still fresh, raw and noisy!. The true accent of Nirvana! During that time, this album was so rare and hard to find in Malaysia. Although Bleach failed to chart in the US upon its original release, who can deny the greatest track like Blew, About A Girl, School and Love Buzz!

If you're familiarize with Heart Shape Box, Rape Me, Dumb, PennyRoyal Tea or All Apologize then you know these songs was taken from Nirvana's 3rd and last studio recording album, In Utero! Beside the inlay cover, what make this album interesting was the sound is too polish! Don't get me wrong, I think Cobain was at the happiest moment when he wrote all those songs. Married with Courtney Love and the same time expecting their 1st and only baby (Frances Bean Cobain), what more a guy could ask for? Even though, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic doesn't satisfied with the sound, this album sold 5 millions unit in US.

'Unplugged In York' one of Nirvana live albums, has become the group's most successful posthumous release, selling five million copies in US by 1997. It was hailed by critics as proof the band was able to transcend the grunge sound they were commonly associated with. In this album, Nirvana played a set list composed of mainly lesser-known material and cover versions of songs by The Vaselines, David Bowie, Meat Puppets (during which they were joined by two members of the group onstage) and Lead Belly.This album not only owned by the truly fans but most of the people I known. Is like a breakthrough to non-fans as well. I used to have this album in repeating mode almost everyday in my walkman!.. hehe

During the last years of his life, Cobain struggled with heroin addiction, his fame and public image, as well as the professional and lifelong personal pressures surrounding himself and Courtney Love. He also struggled with illness and depression for most of his life. On April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle, the victim of what was officially ruled a suicide by a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. The circumstances of his death have become a topic of public fascination and debate. Since their debut, Nirvana, with Cobain as a songwriter, sold over 25 million albums in the US alone, and over 50 million worldwide. Cobain definitely a gem in a bundle of diamond! Truly talented and cant be replace.. May his soul rest in peace!

2011 definitely open up a new book into our life. I got promoted and hubby got a new job. Alhamdulillah, after a storm come a calm. And so, new job required a training. So they decided to sent hubby to Cyprus Island for a month! Sent him yesterday at the airport and I already miss him this morning. Woke up without him on my side definitely the most quirky thing had happened since we got married! :P.

Amongst all award I've been waiting every year, Grammy always be my top priorities. So, which celebrities capture you most with their outfit? Here are my selections

After few series of award, this is the first in this year, Nicole Kidman blew me away with this strapless floral Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2011 Couture mermaid gown. Stunning!

Although, people might think that this dress doesn't suite Grammys, but I personally think this dress flattering Sara Bareilles body. She's look drop dead gorgeous in Ghadah Paris's dress. Well done!

This lavender one shoulder dress by Tadashi Shoji make Kelly Osbourne looking lively. Her skin look glowing..

As a Pucci's fan, I'm very excited to found few celebrities like J.Lo, Lea Michele and Ciara came to grammys with Pucci dress. But I'm bit disappointed with Ciara when she pairing this dress with black shoes! It is so wrong to pair a floaty spring look with black color. Nice dress, bad shoes!

I'm not a big fan of Glee. So I'm kinda ignore them whenever they passed red carpet :p. But I must give credit to Dianna Agron this time. She looked appropriately glam-rockin' in a Vivienne Westwood black strapless dress, heavy black eyeliner and an updo with just the right amount of volume. Well done.

I was at KLCC just now and looking for a pair of jeans. For those who know me since I'm teenagers, I'm Levi's junkie.. My first pair of Levi's is 505. And I continuing with 501, 502 and the list go on and on.. But, when MANGO, ZARA, TOP SHOP or any other UK brands hitting KL, I'm kinda put my loyalty aside (since their pair of jeans is much cheaper).. hohoho.. But one thing about Levi's and can't replacing with any other brand is the jeans fit nicely with any kind of shape. Slender, curvy, petite.. u name it! all will look nice in it.. I was a 'slender' during my teen and Levis's is the only jeans can flatter my leg and body. Since, I'm putting so much weight now :P, I shud consider to buy Levi's again. Maybe 'Supreme Curve', the forth one in 'Curve' family can be consider to be in my wardrobe.. Hehe

This is how you own a Versace look. Her one-shoulder nude chiffon gown was accented with precious stone and crystal detailing which complemented her gold clutch. Loved the hair and it totally worked for her.

January Jones in Carolina Herrera

Finally... she's not wearing Versace.. :P This time she opted for a black and gold lace Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2011 mermaid gown. I think, she's suit with classic look. Hopefully, no more extreme dress + bold color for her next time!

I first listened to Feist last 4 years ago through her 4th albums - The Reminder. Since then, I've been goggling and listening to all her other albums and songs. This Canadian singer songwriter amazed me with her sultry voice, humble attitude and madness guitar skill. Feist's music it's kind that we put on repeat when we're in the tender sort of mood or want to dance through subway turnstiles. Anyway, I'm amazed with new documentary film "Look At What The Light Did Now". Illuminating the artist's collaborations with the people surrounding her, the film is a poetic take on the creative process of making music, specifically her Grammy-nominated album "The Reminder." Feist is the kind of artist who collaborates not only with other musicians, but with shadow puppeteers, thread muralists, and filmmakers for a multimedia experience that we can't help but be wooed by. The film, directed by Anthony Seck and produced by Jannie McInnes, and sold as a DVD, comes with a bonus audio CD which includes live performances and short film.

How fast time flies? I just cant believe that I'm going to turn 31 in few days.. Arghhh.. hahaha.. Anyway, let's recalled the most interesting part that happened to me in 2010..

1) Having a 'Chocolat Chaud' in a fancy Paris's restaurant with some hot French guy :P..

p/s.. my husband was sitting in front of me.. LOL

2) Walking through Eiffel Tower with the love of my life .. ;)

3) Having a blast in London esp watching the snow falling down at 5am in the morning.. ~bliss~

4) Having a blast shopping spree in Europe esp when I managed to bought Longchamp in Paris and Oxford Shoes at Aldo, London.. Oh not to forget uncountable visit to H&M (London+Liverpool+Barcelona+Paris) :P

5) Tasted macaroon for the 1st time and I still cant get over the feeling. Although I've tasted uncountable macaroons in Malaysia, the taste is not the same :P

6) Having a blast at Banyan Tree, Koh Samui..

7) Stepping my foot for the 1st time in Beijing China

8) Celebrating our first Eid Ulfitri together

9) Performing at my company annual dinner

and last but least..

10) Spending most of my time with family and friends more than previous years. It's truly priceless ;)

Okay I know that Incubus is considering under late 90s but I started with Make Yourself instead of S.C.I.E.N.C.E :P. So I considering them under 'the best act of 2000'. Hahaha.. Need no introduction, who can deny this band credibility? Their music is insane! Watching they performed live in front of me 3 years back make my respect growth deeper. Altho, I missed their old bassist: Dirk Lance.

All of my housemates during Uni listening to Linkin Park. I'm not their HUGE fan, but as years goes by I think that Linkin Park proved that they are more than just one hit wonder :P

I used to see her as a very talented person before. Let us look back at the time she's still new in music industry. Aint she rock? heh.. Well, people change.. :P. Oh i missed the band that played for her back then too!

Although the band were formed in 1998, they rose to fame in early 2000s. Who can ever forget Julian Casablancas, Nick Valensi, Albert Hammond, Jr, Nikolai Fraiture and Fabrizio Moretti!. Trust, The Strokes are one of the bands who set a new benchmark for 2000s rock scene. Rumors chirping that they're coming with new album in 2011!

6) Norah Jones

Good thing about Norah Jones, she make Jazz sound young. Jazz always associated with the 40s or 50s or etc.. But she managed to prove that jazz can be contemporary and she's the reason behind how I started to hooked up with singer/songwriter :)

7) The Killers

I remembered when I was still in Uni. The Killers will always be in my play-list when I'm stress! Kinda reveled you know,esp when u stuck in the traffic jammed and after exam :P.. Hoho. But i don't really listening to them after 2nd album :P

I was introduced to Muse by one of my NZ friend. 'Plug In Baby' was the 1st song I listened too. One of the reason y I love this band is because they have this 'jiwa rock kapak' in IN or so called 'emo rock'.. heh

I woke up quiet early on second day.. Normally, I always have difficulty to sleep at new place.. And so after had breakfast, we straightly shoot to Maison Boulud; the place that held the Loewe Spring/Summer 2011 fashion/exhibition show. I really love this place, the architecture plus atmosphere make u feels like being in Paris or Rome.. This place is used to be United State embassy in a walled compound adjacent to Tiananmen Square. And now, it change to restaurant that offers French dining in Beijing.

Basically the exhibition was consist an array of Loewe vintage bags collection, type of leather that they used and the new bags that they're selling now. Since Stuart Vevers (Creative Director) and Lisa Montagne (CEO) take over the lead of the brand, it managed to captured not only women above 40 but below.

I was invited by Loewe to watch their Spring/Summer 2011 presentation at Beijing China.. Before I proceed to the show, let me share a few photos of me and the scenery's on day 1.. Had this conversation with Chiwonkey's when we were busying painting our furniture. Which cover songs that making huge impact until people realize it was their originals. And here's few from our picks:

1) Torn (Original by Ednaswap)
Ednaswap was an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, United States that existed between 1993 and 1998. And this band known for their song "Torn", which appeared on their debut album and was later covered by Natalie Imbruglia. Shocking isn't? Which version do u like better? Both is okay but to be honest, I love the original number ;)

2) I Want You to Want Me (Original by Cheap Trick)
Most of newbie generation thot this track originally by Letter To Cleo. And so, u're dead wrong kiddo! This song have been covered by numerous artist such as Tigertailz , Rob & Fab, Propagandhi, Dwight Yoakam, Lindsay Lohan , Chris Isaak, Aly Michalka, Holmes Brothers and etc etc.. And yes, I preferred Letter To Cleo version (yet some mistakenly thought it's No Doubt :P.. haish)

3) It's My Life (Original by Talk Talk)
We were listening to BFM89.9 last night and they played the original version. I knew this long time a go but not Chiwonkey's. Heh, all this while he thot it was No Doubt original version. But of course, No Doubt version is way better.. err I think so :P

4) The Man Who Sold The World (Original by David Bowie)
No matter how many times I've listening to this track, my mind keep saying this is Nirvana's original, altho' i know that's not the fact. Yeah, my mind is a psycho sometimes.. hehe. Don't get me wrong, I admire David Bowie for his flamboyant plus androgynous alter ego image but his version is too 'cheesy' :P and Nirvana's one is more emotional yet edgier. I heart Cobain's, nuff said!

5) Knockin' On Heaven's Door (Original by Bob Dylan)
Definitely Guns And Roses version is way better and well known. Well, duh. If you disagree, you're wrong, end of discussion. :P .

One thing about me, I don't like sequel movie. I'll buy DVD instead of Cinema :P .. Well after ditching the first night premier on Monday, I couldn't just say 'no' to Mercedes Benz invitation yesterday (yup Gold Class at Signature GSC). Despite of many bad reviews about this movie, who can say NO to Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte's more drama.. Is like having a short bread with cup of tea.. ahahahha.. Obviously, nuthin much I cud say about the movie except I couldn't resist the temptation to have Carrie's apartment (new & old one), to get one of Miranda's outfits and to visit Abu Dhabi (although the actual place in the movie is Morroco).. oh not to forget the man in this movie.. hehehe (Chiwonkey, I still love u ;) ).. Do I need to say more? :P

Ok I admit.. I've been missing the 90s, madly lately.. :P (my other early mid-age syndrome) Naaa.. I just miss the feeling when I spend my most time at Tower Records, the music store at Yow Chuan Plaza, Central Market and Pertama Complex.. I miss the excitement, every time I purchase a cassette/CD, put in inside my walkman/diskman and play it over and over again. I miss life before the internet make a huge impact in our life :P Speaking of record stores and the 90s, I've been youtubing one of my favorite movie during teenagers. And it is Empire Records.. If you born in the 80s u must be familiar with this movie. The one who has skyrocketed Liz Tyler and Reene Zellweger in their journey to the 'A' list celebrities. Ahhh.. this movie remind me how good to have a music store.. The sound, the chaos, the environment is totally amusing.. Esp when u got to buy the record.. Very satisfying ;)

As much as I love the movie, I kinda disappointing with the soundtrack.It's funny when you buy a soundtrack from a movie you're pretty familiar with and discover that you don't recognize half the songs. I think most people have reviewed this album have realized this too. However, that's not to say it's not good. It's a very "grow on you" sort of album.

But my favourite character in this film must be Debra (played by Robin Tunney).. I love it when she shaved her head and don't care about nobody business (altho she's bit psycho) Haha.. yes, there's a one time, I really want to shave my head.. Lucky I have a very strict dad.. :P

Beside Debra, Mark (played by Ethan Embry) also one of my favorite..

I'm 30 years, 4 months and 5 days old today.. As far as I'm concerned, since last 3 years my body having what would I call 'evolution' that I never facing before. Since late 2007 I've gain a lot of weight. From being too skinny, I'm consider as normal person now. With 5 feet and 7 inch tall, I've gain ideal weight which were 55kg (sometimes up too 57 -58kg). Well, I got so much respond about my appearance a.k.a my body weight. "You're fat" are amongst the famous one. :P Chiwonkey said, I look good with this new weight but I cant help myself than feeling like a pumpkin. Hahaha. That's my fault too because I used to live quiet a healthy life before. I run, do a lot of extreme activities and sort of. The only thing I do now is Yoga but still, I always skip the class. Well, my body is not the only concern now but it's about my eye. I'm having this major headache recently and it's regularly, I must say. Met the Doctor yesterday and complaining about the dizziness plus my neck swelled. I asked him whether my weight has to do with it and he just laughed. The truth is, the headache cause by my eye. Since I'm half blind, the other eye have to work extra time. Thus, it makes me tired easily and it cause headache too. The Doctor advice me to have a profound of sleep and change my pillow into a small and compact one. Drink lots of water and start running again. Less my amount on computer and try to look the greenery scene often. Advice noted and I just realised how I took all these easily whereas I knew health is more valuable. It's true when people say, "You only appreciate it once it's gone".
I don't want that happen to me. I can change it.. I can and I will..

Recently I've launched jacky hussein TM group on facebook. Oh no, I'm not looking for groupies but it's a side project of mine. :P And the story started when Mariq invited to me to join him as a jewelery designer under Mariq Diamond TM group. Apparently, Mariq saw my interest in designing during our wedding ring designing session. Later he proposed and of coz I said 'YES'! Like some may have known, Jacky is not my real name. Got it in during high school (girl school) and I was in a play called 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. So I think u guys can guess how Jack or Jacky came from. And Hussein is my surname. From there, the name kinda stuck with me until today. Oh, I'm not saying that I don't like or not proud of my real name because I'm using my real name professionally while working :) I'm not a professional artist but I've been sketching since I first know how to hold a pencil or colors. I was in UiTM for Diploma in Landscape Architecture, although it lasted for one mth.. :P (long story..) And working in high fashion and beauty magazine for about 3 years makes my love for this line grows. So here I am...

I was so shocked when heard news about Robert Pattison will portray the legendary king of grunge, Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic called 'All Apologize' (but rumors said, it's called Heavier Than Heaven). Are they out of their mind???? My husband and I cant sleep one whole night and keep thinking what a disaster all these.. Seriously, Pattison's can be any teenage vampire heartthrob but playing such a powerful 90's icon like Cobain, is aint easy baby!! They should have this grudge charisma oh at lest look alike like Cobain. I prefer Joe Anderson or Jared Leto if any name to be call. Or maybe Pagoda's front man, Michael Pitt is suite to play. A film about Kurt or Nirvana or any of their members suppose to be big and bukan boleh buat cincai2. They have millions of fans around the world and their music inspiring most of the famous musician as well as any musicians in the world. They are like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stone.. It will disappoint millions of fans if their choices of actors just based on popularity or money factors. Can someone knock off the person in charge head! heh.. And oh, Scarlett Johanson as Courtney Love??? pftttttttttttttt....

I remembered 3 years back when I first pick up Eat Pray Love at Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC). During that time, I'm having the most major crisis in my life. A year after dad left us, 4 years relationship with my-x, and left international advertising agency that gave me splendid money, make my life so miserable back then. This book, somehow and somewhere taught me the most valuable lesson of life. Although I never been to Italy or India (I've done Bali).. still this book is the reason why I still standing (or sitting.. haha) strong. Seriously, after letting go all toxins, hatreds and angers.. and start enjoying every single minute of life and for that, I received my award... I found my love, my sweetest husband and the job that I love although the money wasn't that good compare to last time :P but I've been surrounding by friends who more than just friends. Most important thing, I feel good.

.. Written by Elizabeth Gilbert back in 2006, this book that based on true story adapted into movie. And the most exciting part the main character played by my favorite darling, Julia Robert.. yeay.. Cant wait to see the movie tho'

Facebook is getting annoyed lately.. Suddenly all long lost high school friends adding you and blast of reunions keep happening.. No, I don't have any 'nerdy' or ~so not belong to the group~ moment during high school. In fact I was among the popular one.. hahaha. Aiyo, I'm not bragging myself la. These, simply because I'm an athlete, a gangster and among the cool rock chick who doesn't care with the world. Weird is int? Well, I'm bit quiet back then but belong to the popular group make my so called invisible keep visible. And the most weird thing people who doesn't talk (the gedikssss and kerek one) to me during school suddenly being friendly. Huh.

The truth is, I always having problem with keep in touch. Seriously. From high school to college to university to work. I only stick with the memory and that's all. Is not that I hate them or got any issues with but is just me. Yelah, dulu2 mana ada friendster, myspace or facebook?. The only thing to correspondence is via letter. Like for you to write to 10 friends in one time may sound impossible right?. I may sound selfish or cocky but I only remains friendship with the one who value the friendship. People who always stick to you trough thick and thin plus, didn't cursing you over small matter :P

I don't mind having few peoples as a friend as long as we are close not just for the sake, people will though you're cool because of your list. Actually, reunion is not a big issue for me but I only appreciate if it's only involve the small group and consist my 'gang' during high school. Then it will more merrier with our stories and the naughtiest histories of ours. But facing the entirely school, I don't think so.. Hmm,.. Ok, please don't think I'm a psycho! hahaha.. maybe this is causing by my PMS syndrome .. ntahapapa kan?.. ahahah
